INTRODUCTION
Welcome to Club Lambretta na hEireann.
The Club was formed in 1952, a year before the LCGB, which is by far, the biggest Lambretta club in the world. That early formation of the club came to an end in 1976 and lay idle until 1992 when some of the previous committee worked hard to track down who was the last secretary and to get it up and running again. By doing so they have given us a chance to bring the club into the new millennium. We must take this opportunity to thank the previous committee members for all their hard work and dedication over the years. A BIG ‘thankyou’.
The Lambretta club of Ireland has to date organised do’s, poker runs and ride-outs for the Club. We have also held several “Celtic” rallies and in 1998 the Club’s biggest achievement was being the host for the Euro Lambretta Jamboree. This event we ran in the in the Green Glens Arena, Millstreet, Co. Cork and what a success it was. We have the honour of hosting this event again in June 2011!
